Hello, Northwest Arkansas,
As the Managing Director of USL Arkansas, I couldn’t be more excited about the trajectory of professional soccer in our region. From hearing in our listening session campaign why you love Northwest Arkansas to beginning to think about what our future home could look like, every step of this journey has been incredibly rewarding. But, if there’s one thing that sets us apart, it’s our commitment to the community. And that’s where our latest initiative comes in: the “Name The Team” campaign.
The Heart of the Initiative
We believe soccer is not just a sport, but a community builder. In that spirit, we have kicked off a campaign to give everyone in Northwest Arkansas the opportunity to help name our professional soccer teams. Through this campaign, we’re not just looking for a name; we’re looking for a name that resonates with the heartbeat of our community.
Why Your Input Matters
At the end of the day, this is your club. Chris Martinovic, our co-founder, summed it up nicely: “After gathering feedback from our community listening sessions, it’s now time to begin our club branding process. We want to hear from you, Northwest Arkansas—what are your name ideas and why? It’s your club…help name it.”
Warren Smith, another co-founder, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Community is the backbone of any successful soccer club, and this campaign allows us to incorporate the voice of Northwest Arkansas directly into our identity.”
How to Get Involved
Participating in the “Name The Team” campaign is straightforward. Head over to the Fan Zone tab on the USL Arkansas website and you’ll find all the details for submitting your ideas.
Final Thoughts
This campaign is an opportunity for community members to directly influence the identity of our teams. Whether you’re a soccer enthusiast or a parent looking for a fun family outing, we want your input. Because when the community speaks, we listen.
This is your chance to be a part of Northwest Arkansas’s soccer history. We can’t wait to hear your ideas and feel the enthusiasm that we know our community can bring to the beautiful game.
Best,
Wes Harris Managing Director, USL Arkansas
